Austin Sapin

Austin Sapin has held a variety of roles in the sports media industry since 2014. Theirearliest role was as a Staff Writer for CaneInsider in 2014. In 2015, they held multiple positions, including Staff Writer for The Miami Hurricane, Intern for ESPN Radio 980, and Intern for The Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan. Austin also served as a Communications Intern for Georgetown University Athletics Department, where they conducted research for statistics, wrote student-athlete biographies, input live stats, and entered team schedules onto the university's website. From 2015-2017, they were the Game Notes Coordinator for the Big Ten Conference. Since 2016, they have been employed by the University of Miami, where they have held the roles of Assistant Director, Digital Strategy, Associate Director of Digital Strategy, and Director of Digital Strategy. In this position, they have overseen all athletic department social media accounts and developed and executed content plans for UM Football and UM Men's Basketball. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Social Media Manager for Action Network.
