Xander Mitchell

Associate & Head of Special Projects at The Ad Hoc Group

Xander is an Associate and Head of Special Projects at The Ad Hoc Group. He originally joined The Ad Hoc Group as an extern from Bain & Company. At Bain, Xander supported clients in the logistics, telecommunications, and software industries across a variety of commercial topics.

Xander is invested in fostering vibrant, sustainable, and equitable communities. He spent two years on the leadership team of the largest chapter of Inspire, an organization that provides consulting services to early-stage nonprofits and social enterprises, where he advised philanthropies and educational organizations. Outside of his professional commitments, he volunteers on the National Alumni Advisory Council of Questbridge and as a Big Brother for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago.

Xander holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History of Art from Yale University. He graduated with honors and received the award for best senior thesis on the subject of American arts. He is a lifelong Chicagoan.
