Anna Matys-Dakowicz

Anna Matys-Dakowicz has extensive work experience in tax management and analysis. Anna started their career at Career Education Corporation in 2007, where they worked as a Tax Analyst and later as a Senior Team Lead at Student Finance. In these roles, Anna streamlined processes, maintained accounting databases, made payroll tax deposits, and resolved compliance and accounting issues. Anna also worked with PeopleSoft HCM and participated in system initiatives and upgrades. In 2014, Anna joined Advanced Group as a Tax Specialist and then progressed to the role of Tax Manager. In these positions, they managed tax processes, kept up-to-date with tax updates, created reports, and provided recommendations for process improvement and automation. Since December 2021, Anna has been serving as the Associate Director of Tax at Advanced Group, where they oversee the tax team responsible for multiple entities and ensures proper tax compliance and system updates.

Anna Matys-Dakowicz completed their education in a variety of fields. Anna obtained a BA in Political Science from Concordia University Chicago in 2006. In 2006, they also received a BA in Pre-Law from Dominican University. Subsequently, in 2013, they achieved a Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language from Instituto Cervantes Chicago. Furthermore, in 2011, Anna Matys-Dakowicz earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Financial Management Services from Concordia University Chicago. Finally, in 2022, they pursued a specialization in US Federal Tax at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
