Michael Lehrfeld

Michael Lehrfeld is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in project leadership, systems engineering, and military operations. Currently serving as a Senior Project Leader at The Aerospace Corporation since April 2018, Michael previously held the role of Principal Systems Engineer at SAIC, focusing on Air Force Special Access Programs. A former US Navy Officer, Michael's career includes significant roles such as Battle Watch Captain, where operational reporting for naval forces was managed, and as Aviation Department Head for Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 84, overseeing combat readiness and operations in Iraq. Michael also excelled as an Operational Test Director, leading comprehensive evaluations of helicopter systems. Educated with a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, Michael's expertise encompasses space systems engineering, satellite operations, and tactical support for naval operations.
