Deb Brown Smith

Deb Brown Smith, CFRE, currently serves as the Senior Major Gifts Officer at The Ali Forney Center since July 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Development for the NY Metro Area at Best Buddies International from January 2021 to July 2022, and various positions at Back on My Feet between January 2015 and December 2020, including Development and Events Director and National Events Director. Earlier roles include Development Associate at My Sisters' Place and an internship with Reading Is FUNdamental Pittsburgh, where skills in donor management and program organization were developed. Additional marketing experience includes internships focused on social media and public relations with Dalel Khalil and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing organization. Deb Brown Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh, graduated in 2013.
