Nydia Russe

Nydia Russe is a seasoned creative arts therapist currently employed at The Ali Forney Center since August 2022, with prior experience as a dance movement therapist intern at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center and Menorah Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Home. Nydia has accumulated extensive experience in leading various therapeutic groups, totaling over 1,000 hours in inpatient and nursing home settings. Nydia's background also includes significant roles in advertising and social media strategy, with positions held at notable agencies such as Young & Rubicam Miami, Saatchi & Saatchi, and DDB Latina, where diverse brands were serviced. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Dance and Movement in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute and a Master in Literature & Creative Writing from Universidad Sagrado Corazón.
