Lindsay McElwee has a diverse work experience, starting in 2009. Lindsay began their career as a Health Initiatives Representative at the American Cancer Society and then progressed to become a Community Representative, responsible for managing Relay For Life events and engaging with the community. Lindsay later took on the role of Senior Manager, Relay For Life in North Louisiana, overseeing events and achieving significant annual income goals. Lindsay then transitioned to the position of Senior Market Manager, Community Engagement at the American Cancer Society in the Houston Metro market, where they focused on fundraising, volunteer cultivation, and account management. In 2017, they were promoted to Executive Director for the South Texas Area, where they led community development initiatives and managed a large team. Lindsay's most recent role was as National Director, Young Professionals Engagement & Development at the American Cancer Society. Currently, Lindsay is the Managing Director, Development at The ALS Association. Lindsay'sextensive experience in fundraising, volunteer management, community engagement, and leadership has undoubtedly contributed to their success in various positions within the nonprofit sector.
Lindsay McElwee earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing from Northwestern State University from 2004 to 2008.
