Bowen Banbury

Bowen co-owns the Denver East territory of The Alternative Board (TAB) with Lana Banbury. Together they create and facilitate peer-to-peer boards, enabling business owners to present and find solutions to challenges through the advice and experience of other business owners in a confidential and safe forum. TAB business owners also coach their board members for business and personal growth and success.

Bowen has a comprehensive background in executive management and strategic operations. He is an internationally accomplished entrepreneur and visionary business champion with expertise in founding and growing successful organizations. Bowen founded and grew a startup to more than $12M in revenue in ten years and sold it in the mid-eight figures.

Bowen oversees several businesses under the auspices of Thunderbird Capital LLC. These businesses operate wireless stores, a travel agency, rental properties, and a vehicle leasing company.

He was the founder, President, and CEO of the DocuVault companies, established in 1997 to provide records management, data security and document shredding services. Bowen built DocuVault into a regional player and national force in the records management industry, serving customers in more than 20 states and three countries. The extraordinary growth in DocuVault led to its strategic acquisition by Iron Mountain.

Prior to founding DocuVault, Bowen Banbury held the position of Vice President of the Pacific Basin Economic council, an association of Pacific region Fortune 100 CEOs, headquartered in Honolulu.

A significant contributor to the community, Bowen served on the Board of the Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau for seven years, including as the Chairman. He is also a former Director of National Records Centers (NRC) and Professional Records and Information Services Management (PRISM). In addition, he has been a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and The Executive Committee (TEC).

Bowen holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelors of Arts from Occidental College. His strategic and financial expertise combined with his skills in business development, marketing and operations have added considerable value to the organizations he has served from company startup through high growth cycles and economic change. His exceptional leadership has ensured the rapid growth and success of the organizations he has supported.
