Melissa Chan currently serves as the Program Coordinator for Global Security and International Affairs at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, a position held since November 2021. Prior to this role, Melissa worked as a Shift Manager at Starbucks from September 2019 to November 2021 and gained experience as a Political Affairs Intern at The Borgen Project in early 2021. Melissa's career began at Target, where a Team Member role was held from July 2016 to September 2019. Educationally, Melissa graduated from Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies with a degree in International Relations, focusing on Foreign Policy & Security Studies, as well as the Middle East & North Africa. In January 2023, Melissa attended the International School on Disarmament and Research on Conflicts at ISODARCO.
