Sharon Kneebone

Sharon Kneebone, IOM, FASAE, CAE, serves as the Executive Director of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, overseeing Industry Relations, Governance, and Operations since October 2022. Previously held the position of Interim Executive Director in 2023, leading significant organizational growth and coordinating the Annual Meeting. Prior roles include Executive Director at AO North America and the National Society for Histotechnology, where transformative change and strategic management were emphasized. Additionally, Sharon has experience as Director of Membership at the Institute of Food Technologists and in various leadership roles within other notable associations. Educational background includes a B.A. in Mass Communications from Towson University and multiple certifications in Organizational Management from Villanova University and the University of Notre Dame.
