Laila Shamel

Laila Shamel is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Senior Manager of Planning & Administration in the Office of Information Technology at The American University in Cairo since 2022. Prior to this role, Laila accumulated extensive experience at the same institution from 2006 to 2021, progressing through various positions including Executive Assistant to the Chairman, Officer for the Sponsored Fellowship Program, Senior Specialist, and Jameel MBA Fellows Program Assistant. Laila holds an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from The American University in Cairo, obtained between 2014 and 2016, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Misr International University (MIU), completed from 2001 to 2005, alongside a High School Diploma from Ramses College for Girls.
