Martha Cooley

Martha Cooley currently serves as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees and Director of the North American Office at The American University in Cairo, a position held since February 2022. Concurrently, Martha works as a Grants Manager at the MYDAR Foundation, focusing on research and due diligence for grant recommendations. Previous experience includes managing Board operations and special projects at Barnard College, consulting on strategy and operations for Let’s Get Ready, and overseeing daily operations as Assistant to the CEO at the YMCA of Silicon Valley. Martha has also held editorial roles at various prestigious publishing houses, including Wharton School Publishing, Stanford University Press, Oxford University Press, and John Wiley and Sons. Martha holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Barnard College.
