Michael J. Harris, Ed.D. has extensive experience in academia, serving in various roles such as Director of Admissions at Los Angeles Bible Training School, Dissertation Committee Member at Pepperdine University, Sociology Instructor at Los Angeles Community College District, and Program Director for Federal TRIO Program. Additionally, Michael J. has been involved in AYSO as a Referee, Coach, and Regional Coach Administrator. With a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Michael is dedicated to advancing scholarship and providing comprehensive academic support to students.

Established in 1964, AYSO is a national non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Six Philosophies: Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development. Today, AYSO has 40,000 teams and more than 300,000 players. It also employs 23 people at the AYSO Office in Torrance, California to help support the volunteers that run programs in their local communities.
