Nicola Commons

Nicola Commons has extensive experience in primary education, currently serving as the Assistant Head of Primary for KS1 and Head of Primary Science at The Arbor School in Dubai since August 2022, and previously held positions at GEMS Education from August 2015 to August 2022, where roles included Grade One Team Lead and Grade Two Team Lead. Nicola has effectively supported curriculum delivery and teacher development, implemented quality assurance programs, and transitioned to digital learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier experience includes teaching at Highbury Preparatory School and Yewchung International School in Shanghai. Nicola holds an Honors degree in Inclusion Education and a PGCE from the University of South Africa, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cape Town.
