James Gipson

James Gipson has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. James has worked as the Chief Operating Officer at The Arc Montgomery County since December 2020, where they are responsible for overseeing operational controls, administrative procedures, and staff coordination. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES from November 2019, leading the organization's planning and supporting its mission. James also worked as the Director of Human Resources and Operations at Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless and VESTA, INC., where they managed HR departments and ensured compliance with regulations. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, program management, and talent strategy development.

James Gipson earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi in the years 1992-1997. Later, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University during 2001-2002.
