Kate Burke is an experienced advocate and community leader currently serving as the Advocacy Coordinator at The Arc of Spokane since August 2023. Prior to this role, Burke worked as a Commerce Specialist at the Washington State Department of Commerce and held various board positions, including Board Member at KYRS Thin Air Community Radio and the Mockingbird Society. With a substantial background in local government, Burke served as a City Council Member for the City of Spokane and worked as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Andy Billig. Burke actively contributed to community initiatives such as the Spokane Edible Tree Project and Project Hope Spokane, focusing on youth enrichment and food security. Educationally, Burke holds Associate of Arts degrees from Whatcom Community College and Spokane Falls Community College.
