Born in Bluefield, Nicaragua, from humble beginnings. Jane Diaz was raised by her aunt and educated by the Moravian missionaries on the Caribbean, Atlantic coast. While raising her family in a country that was riddled with conflict, she and her husband decided they wanted a better life for their family.
Jane has always been interested in medicine and improving people's lives. As a Registered Nurse, Jane’s nursing experience includes both her work in Managua, Nicaragua, and the United States, in hospitals, mental health, school nursing, pediatrics, and as an asthma specialist.
As an Arc SF board member and with her background as a Registered Nurse, Jane will collaborate with team members and advocate for the participants of The Arc SF to have the resources they require and be treated equitably. She offers her support to the participants of The Arc SF, their families, volunteers, and the people who dedicate their time caring and assisting the participants.
