David Wasserman is a seasoned professional with significant experience in both nonprofit and business sectors. As the Founder of The Art Therapy Project since 2010, David has dedicated efforts to providing free art therapy to underserved populations in New York City. In addition, David serves as a Board Member at The New School of Public Engagement and co-founded Common Good Partners Ltd, fostering impact businesses, including Waste2Worth. Previous roles include serving as a Board Member at Knighthead Annuity & Life Assurance Company and CEO & Founder of Zurich Alternative Asset Management LLC, overseeing substantial assets in hedge funds and private equity. David's expertise also extends to academia as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at NYU Stern School of Business. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Brown University.

The Art Therapy Project
The Art Therapy Project is a nonprofit mental health organization providing free group art therapy to adults and youth affected by trauma. Using the art-making process and with support from our art therapists, clients learn how to explore feelings, increase self-awareness and cope with life's challenges.
