Kristina Saccone

Director at The Aspen Institute

Kristina leads the editorial strategy and content creation team at the Institute. She oversees blog, email, and social media development as well as digital collateral and marketing for the advancement department.

Before joining the Institute in 2020, she led the digital team at Collaborative Communications Group, managing projects ranging from website redesign and digital tool development and content creation. Kristina previously founded and led her own strategic communications practice, called Partner + Purpose, and held leadership positions at the Donnell-Kay Foundation, Colorado Succeeds, and GreatSchools. She loves to create, write, and tell stories, something she did for nearly a decade as a reporter and producer at the PBS NewsHour, Colorado Public Radio, and Aspen Public Radio.

Kristina is a founding and current member of the Institute’s Task Force on Equity and Inclusion. She also was a founding steering committee member of Talk to Action, a Denver-based diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative.

She has a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Regis University and a Bachelors degree from Colby College.
