Danielle Watkis (BSc, MRes, GMBPsS)

Danielle Watkis (BSc, MRes, GMBPsS) is an experienced professional currently serving as a member of the ‘Close The Gap’ Project Delivery Board at the University of Oxford, focusing on improving race-literate admissions processes for postgraduate research students. As a Programme Officer for the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, Watkis acts as the main contact for high-income PhD scholars and assesses applications while reviewing Widening Participation policies. Additionally, Watkis founded DW Academy Limited, providing psychological and academic support to disadvantaged students. Previous roles include working as a Student Voice Project Worker at the University of Leicester Students' Union, where collaborative research efforts informed strategic plans, and managing the development of student leaders. Watkis holds a Master of Research in Research Methods in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Leicester.
