Timothy van der Laan

Timothy van der Laan is a team leader at CSIRO Manufacturing, leading the Functional nanosystems team. Timothy is also a research scientist, group leader, commercialisation associate, and visiting research scientist at CSIRO Manufacturing. Timothy is currently a Special Project Officer Outreach (Federal) at The Australian Institute of Physics, promoting the role of physics and physicists in Australia. Timothy also serves as the Vice Chair of the NSW branch, focusing on promoting physics and physicists in NSW. In the past, Timothy worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at QUT and as a scientific consultant at Zenogen Pty Ltd. Timothy holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Science (Hons I) in Physical Sciences.
