As Chairperson of UWA Young Engineers, Jayden actively connects students with industry through networking events. Academic credentials include a Master's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Economics, both from The University of Western Australia. Jayden is also a former president of Engineers Without Borders Australia, overseeing multiple teams while addressing social and environmental challenges.

The Australian Power Institute (API) is a not for profit organisation established as an initiative of the power industry with the vision of achieving: Sustainability and Excellence in Australia's Power Engineering. Achieving this vision will enhance the performance and competitiveness of the Australian power industry organisations. Connects (Our Vision): Connecting People, Skills and Resources to Power Australia’s Energy Future. Collaborates (Our Value Proposition): Providing value through maximising collaboration and innovation throughout the energy industry, universities and schools, professional bodies and government in power engineering education, research and training. Contributes (Our Purpose): Our contribution is to ensure a sustainable supply of innovative, agile power engineering professionals equipped with contemporary skills to transform and sustain Australia’s energy future through initiatives focused on: 1. Providing a sustainable supply of quality STEM graduates to Energy Industry 2. Facilitating a strong power engineering education platform for undergraduate students and existing industry professionals 3. Coordinating Industry and University Innovation Initiatives The API will support universities in all Australian States to enhance their teaching and research capacity in power engineering, encourage high quality students to select power engineering and be challenged as undergraduates, and provide postgraduate professional development programs to ensure that professional engineers will continue throughout their careers to acquire engineering skills at the highest level and at the forefront of knowledge, benefiting both individuals and industry. The API will encourage industry-sponsored and supported research with the intention that multi-campus Centres of Excellence in disciplines relevant to the industry’s future will thrive at Australian universities.
