Erica Ely

Erica Ely has a diverse range of work experience. Erica currently holds the position of Co-President at The BALSA Group, where they focus on client outreach and project negotiations, as well as improving member's professional development and the organization's presence in the community. Erica has also worked as a Project Manager and Advisor for The BALSA Group.

Prior to their role at The BALSA Group, Erica was a PHD Student at Washington University in St. Louis, where they pursued their studies in an unidentified field. Erica also participated in the McKinsey Insight program at McKinsey & Company, completing team-building exercises and presenting on a management consulting problem.

In addition, Erica has held various roles in research and internship positions, including as a Student Researcher at the UC Davis Institute for Regenerative Cures and the UC Davis Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Erica also gained industrial research experience at Boehringer Ingelheim, where they focused on gene expression and differential cytokine analysis related to autoimmune diseases.

Outside of their academic and professional pursuits, Erica has experience as a Nanny, a Private Lacrosse Instructor, and an Administrative Assistant in a private setting. Erica was also a Division I Lacrosse Player at UC Davis Athletics and served as an Assistant Coach for the Gold Coast Lacrosse Club, organizing practices and instructing players.

Erica Ely attended the University of California, Davis from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
