Michael G. Smith

Michael G. Smith currently serves as the Vice President of Information Technology at The Baltimore Life Insurance Company. Michael has previously held positions as a Division Chief Marketing Officer at Vibra Healthcare and as Vice President of Business Development at Medical City Healthcare.

Smith has extensive experience in developing and executing marketing and sales strategies in the healthcare industry. In their role as Division Chief Marketing Officer at Vibra Healthcare, they were responsible for leading all business development, sales, and marketing efforts for a 72-bed LTACH and 44-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Michael oversaw a clinical team of six nurse liaisons and was focused on referral generation and management, building relationships with key referral partners, and expanding the hospital’s territory.

As Vice President of Business Development at Medical City Healthcare, Smith was responsible for delivering on strategic initiatives to enhance the hospital’s competitive position and improve commercial market share. Michael was a member of the executive team for a leading for-profit hospital in the DFW mid cities that included a demanding trauma service, comprehensive women’s hospital, robotic surgery program, 24/7 interventional neurology service, and fully accredited cardiology program.

Smith’s experience in the healthcare industry has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the needs of both hospitals and patients. Michael G. Smith graduated with a B.S. in Healthcare Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Michael then earned their MHA from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Michael is certified by the American College of Healthcare Executives as a Fellow American College of Healthcare Executives.
