Maria Wainwright

Maria Wainwright is currently the Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer at The Bancorp. Maria has over 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on creative direction and strategy. Prior to their current position, they worked as the Creative Director at Lincoln Financial Group from January 2009 to October 2013. In that role, they were responsible for developing and implementing creative concepts and elements to represent the company image and meet marketing objectives through digital, video, and print presence.

Maria has a proven track record of successfully managing and executing multiple projects from start to finish. Maria has also demonstrated their ability to lead and manage a team of creatives, including writers, designers, and videographers. Some notable accomplishments during their time at Lincoln Financial Group include art directing an infographics animation, directing a 4-day photoshoot in California, and improving the e-mail communication experience to coincide with multiple campaigns.

With their wealth of experience in marketing and creative direction, Maria is well-positioned to continue their success as the Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer at The Bancorp.

Maria Wainwright has a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design Communication from Thomas Jefferson University. Maria also has a Graduate-level Certificate in Marketing Strategy for Business Leaders from Cornell University. Additionally, they have completed a course of study in Semiotics from the Rhode Island School of Design. Finally, they have a certification in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

Maria Wainwright reports to Damian Kozlowski, CEO & President. They work with Olek Derowe - EVP, Head of Commercial Real Estate, Jennifer F. Terry - Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Mark Connolly - Executive Vice President, Head of Credit Markets.
