Ruth Barongo

Ruth Barongo currently serves as AVP FCRM Sanction Team Lead at The Bancorp since March 2018, overseeing operations for Sanctions teams focused on screening, high-risk transaction analysis, and related customer checks. Prior to this role, Ruth held the position of AVP FCRM Sanction Team Lead at HSBC Private Banking, where responsibilities included reviewing transaction data and identifying AML risks. Ruth also gained experience as an AML Compliance Officer at JPMorgan Chase & Co., conducting initial alert analyses and ensuring compliance with AML regulations. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Egerton University.
