Rachel Coyle

Chief Executive Officer at The Behavioural Insights Team

Rachel is the Global Managing Director at BIT. Prior to BIT, she was Head of Corporate Intelligence at S-RM, an international risk and intelligence consultancy. In this role, she led a team of 150 intelligence and financial crime specialists based in five countries worldwide, whose assessments supported well-informed, ethical decisions relating to fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, terrorism and security threats, and other social and governance concerns. Previously, she ran S-RM’s South Africa office.

Earlier in her career, Rachel was a civil servant at the Ministry of Defence, where she worked in national security policy, cyber security and intelligence analysis. She was awarded an MBE for Services to Defence in 2013.

Rachel holds an MA in Chinese Studies and an MPhil in International Relations, both from the University of Cambridge.
