Sara Young is an experienced animal care volunteer currently contributing at The Blank Park Zoo since July 2020. In addition to this role, Sara serves as a 1st Assistant Manager at Casey's General Stores, Inc. since June 2020. Previously, Sara volunteered with Green Iowa AmeriCorps, assisting Habitat for Humanity with home repairs and community services. Notable prior experience includes an animal care internship at Ocean Connections, where responsibilities involved habitat maintenance and animal diet preparation. Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Wartburg College, attained in 2020.
