George Calle

George Calle is currently the Research Lead for Services & Engagements at The Block. Prior to this, they worked as the Market Intelligence Lead for R3 from July 2018 to July 2021. George has also worked as a Summer Analyst for MissionOG from June 2016 to August 2017, where they were responsible for conducting due diligence on potential deals and pitched a thesis on blockchain and institutional crypto services. George started their career as an intern at Perpay Inc. from June 2014 to August 2016, where they managed the 'pending loan approval' customer segment and developed and applied a risk assessment algorithm.

George Calle studied economics and political science at the University of Pennsylvania. George also attended Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and Loyola High School of Los Angeles.

George Calle reports to Larry Cermak, Director of Research and Analysis. They work with Steven Zheng - Head of Research, Igor Igamberdiev - Research Lead, Data.
