Maya Pacana-Bredenkamp has extensive experience in the field of theatrical lighting design, working for various companies such as Alvine Engineering, The BLUEBARN Theatre, Schuler Shook, and Barbizon Lighting Company. With a background in Theatre and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatrical Lighting, Maya has held roles ranging from Engineering Technician to Guest Lighting Designer. Prior to their current roles, Maya also worked as a Systems Project Manager at Barbizon Lighting Company and as an Event Technical Specialist at Walt Disney World.

The BLUEBARN Theatre was founded in 1989 in Omaha, Nebraska by graduates of the Conservatory at State University of New York at Purchase. Since then, it has become renown for producing professional contemporary theatre. The BLUEBARN is a 501c3 non-profit organization and relies on charitable donations and ticket sales for revenue stream. The theatre welcomes individual and corporate gifts in support of the daring and innovative theatre it routinely produces. Mission Statement: The Blue Barn Theatre exists to enhance the cultural life of Omaha, Nebraska by producing professionally executed, boundary breaking plays that ignite a passion for the art form. Blue Barn is dedicated to theatre’s most important tradition: to provoke thought, emotion, action, and change.
