The Bowery Mission
Kelly Contreras is a dedicated student and emerging professional with experience in journalism and real estate. Currently volunteering at The Bowery Mission and serving as a staff writer for The Ticker, Kelly collaborates with fellow student journalists to produce weekly college newspapers, focusing on business news and ensuring accuracy through extensive research and interviews. Previous roles include Vice President of Co-Sponsorships for UNICEF@Baruch, where leadership and organizational skills were utilized, and a commercial real estate internship at Berdon, culminating in a first-place finish in two real estate marketing and presentation competitions after receiving over 60 hours of training in real estate fundamentals. Additional experience includes a stock pitch collaboration with Credit Suisse, demonstrating analytical skills in a competitive environment. Kelly is actively pursuing an education at Baruch College after graduating from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.
