Kimberly Portuhondo

Kimberly Portuhondo is a dedicated educator currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at the NYC Department of Education since July 2023, where responsibilities include assessing student skills and adapting lessons to meet diverse educational needs. Prior experience includes roles as a First Grade Teacher at Uncommon Schools and a Per Diem Substitute Teacher at the NYC Department of Education. Kimberly also has extensive experience in the live events industry, having worked in various front-of-house capacities at The Bowery Presents since October 2016, including Box Office Attendant and Coat Check Supervisor. Additionally, Kimberly has worked as an Assistant Venue Manager at Rooftop Films and a Spanish Translator for Accurate Communication. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Mercy University and a currently pursued M.S. in Childhood Education and Special Education from the University of Mount Saint Vincent, projected for completion in May 2024.
