Lisa R. Fox has been with The Bradley Center since 1999. Her guidance and leadership have led Bradley to a position of prominence in the field of providing therapeutic and educational services to children who have experienced complex trauma. Today, Bradley is a certified Sanctuary facility, specializing in both trauma-informed care and organizational excellence. The organization is known throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia as a leading provider of services and support for families and children who are experiencing serious challenges.
Lisa began her career as a therapist at Warren State Hospital, where she worked with children and adults who suffer from serious mental illnesses. As a Community Resource Specialist at DuBois Regional Medical Center, she served as both an emergency room crisis worker, and a mental health therapist, and was also directly involved in organizational development, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. In 1999, she joined The Bradley Center as Director of Community Services. She was quickly promoted to Administrator of Community Services, Residential Director, and then Chief Operating Officer before becoming the Chief Executive Officer in 2007. Throughout her career, Lisa has helped thousands of children in Pennsylvania and West Virginia overcome the impact of severe trauma histories and mitigate the symptomology of mental illness. As an advocate for these children, many of whom have grown to become healthy and productive adults with families of their own, Lisa is proud to have touched the lives of children and families in need for over 25 years.
Lisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Communications from Allegheny College and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University. She has served on the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare’s Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Children’s Advisory Committee, and as a professional co-chair in 2002. In addition, she was a member of the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Council of Children Youth and Family Services Board of Directors. Lisa is a member of the 2014 FBI Citizens Academy Class and was the 2014 recipient of the Pittsburgh FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award. In 2021, she was named to the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association (CAAA). She serves on the Board of Directors of Beverly’s Birthdays, a Pittsburgh-based non-profit focused on delivering birthday cheer for children experiencing homelessness and families in need. She has also volunteered extensively with the American Red Cross and United Way. Lisa’s organizational leadership and commitment to children extend beyond the professional realm, as she is actively involved with her local community and school districts. Lisa supports environmental causes both locally and nationally and enjoys keeping several beehives. She also works with local animal shelters, through which she has helped many animals find their new forever homes through fostering and adoption.
