Pedro L. Marin

Principal at The Brattle Group

Pedro L. Marin is the current Principal at The Brattle Group. Prior to this, they served as the Secretary of State for Energy in Spain's Ministry for Industry, Tourism and Trade from May 2008 to January 2011. In this role, they were responsible for regulating electricity, gas, and oil, including nuclear and renewable technologies and energy efficiency. Pedro also led the energy liberalization process in Spain.

From May 2004 to May 2008, Marin served as the General Director for the Department of Welfare Society in the Economic Bureau attached to the Spanish Prime Minister. In this role, they were responsible for welfare policy initiatives in Spain.

Prior to their work in the government, Marin was a professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from January 1996 to June 2012.

Pedro L. Marin has a Ph.D. in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Master in Science in Economics from the same institution. Pedro also holds a graduate degree in Economic Science from the [University of Valencia.
