Richard Wakeman

Richard Wakeman is an experienced museum professional with a diverse background in collection management and visitor services. Currently serving as the Assistant Collection Manager at The British Museum since 2002, Richard contributes to various aspects of collections management, including object conservation and exhibition design. Richard recently took a sabbatical to work as the Collections Manager at Amgueddfa Llandudno Museum from May 2023 to April 2024, where responsibilities included leading the collections team, redesigning museum stores, and developing storage solutions. Additionally, Richard is skilled in managing collections staff, creating training packages, and engaging audiences through collections-based social media initiatives.
