Alexandra Katz

Alexandra Katz is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in criminal defense. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at The Bronx Defenders since March 2018, Katz has a background that includes founding and directing The Focus Forward Project from August 2012 to November 2016. Additional legal experience includes previous roles as a Legal Intern at The Bronx Defenders and Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, as well as a Clinical Student at East Bay Community Law Center's Youth Defender Clinic. Katz began a career in law as a Paralegal for the Federal Public Defender from July 2011 to July 2014. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Barnard College, where Katz was recognized as an Athena Leadership Scholar.
