Tyler Sloan

Law Graduate, Family Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders

Tyler Sloan (she/her/hers) earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Public Interest Fellow. During law school, she participated as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense and Prisoner Advocacy Clinic representing people accused of misdemeanors and parole violations. She also taught legal research and writing to incarcerated students at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women state prison. She was a Dean’s Certificate, Bernard J. Green Trial Practice Award, and Patsy Kelly Jarrett-Craig Mohammad Award recipient, in addition to receiving special recognition for her pro bono work. At Georgetown, she was president of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, and deputy director of criminal justice for the ACLU. During law school, Tyler interned at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, the National Women’s Law Center, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She holds a Bachelor's with High Honors in Politics from Oberlin College.
