Rachel Gruber serves as the Managing Editor of Engagement at The Brown and White, focusing on enhancing local and student engagement through collaboration with South Bethlehem community leaders and overseeing community content. Additional roles at The Brown and White include Staff Writer and Community Engagement Editor. Rachel is currently a Community Engagement Associate Editor at Lehigh University, where research on AI integration in journalism is being conducted under the guidance of Dr. Haiyan Jia. Previous research assistance was provided to Dr. Jia on projects involving large language models and to Dr. Michael Gill on the psychology of blame. Additional experience includes a role as a Computer Science Grader at Lehigh University, Historian for Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, and various positions in coaching and sales. Rachel is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science at Lehigh University, with a high school diploma from Menlo School.
