Dolapo Falola is an experienced software engineer and engineering manager with a diverse background in companies such as The Browser Company, Slack, Instagram, Facebook, Foursquare, Thing Labs, Google, and IBM.
At The Browser Company, Dolapo holds the position of Head of Engineering, starting in March 2022.
Previously, Dolapo worked at Slack as the Director of Engineering from November 2020 to March 2022.
Before that, Dolapo was a Senior Engineering Manager at Instagram from February 2020 to September 2020, overseeing mobile and backend product and infrastructure teams focused on interoperability of Stories across Facebook Inc's apps.

Dolapo also gained engineering management experience at Foursquare, where they were an Engineering Manager from June 2013 to May 2014. Their responsibilities included managing teams working on Profile and user reputation products within the Foursquare app. Dolapo also started as a Software Engineer at Foursquare in January 2011, working on various projects such as the API backend, web serving infrastructure redesign, and iOS app development.
Before joining Foursquare, Dolapo worked at Thing Labs, a startup acquired by Aol. Dolapo had multiple responsibilities on all the products at Thing Labs and briefly worked as a lead on the rewrite/relaunch of Aim.com at Aol.
Dolapo's early career includes a role as a Software Engineer at Google, where they worked on Google Reader, a web application for feeds, from April 2005 to June 2009. They were responsible for developing Google Reader's social features and creating the initial version for iPhone Safari.
At IBM, Dolapo started as a Software Developer in January 2003 and worked on projects such as Tivoli Federated Identity Manager, implementing specifications like WS-Federation, WS-Trust, SAML SSO, and Liberty. They were also part of the AIX IP Security team responsible for the IP-Security stack and administration.
