Catalin Albu

Professor at ASE Bucuresti

Catalin Albu is a distinguished academic currently serving as a Professor at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies since 2000, specializing in accounting research and education. Albu holds a PhD in Accounting from Academia de Studii Economice din București and has an MSc in Finances et Controle de Gestion from Université d'Orléans. In addition to teaching, Albu is actively involved in editorial and organizational roles, including serving as Associate Editor for the Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, VP of Conferences for the International Association for Accounting Education and Research, and a member of the editorial board for Accounting in Europe. Notable leadership includes chairing the EAA 2024 annual congress and a prior role as KPMG Professor at KPMG Romania. Albu has also held visiting positions at ESSEC Business School and the University of Dayton under the Senior Fulbright Award.
