Dawn Ely

Dawn Ely, DES, is an accomplished events and training professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as the Director of Events at the Cancer Support Community since 2019, responsibilities include guiding event strategy and managing logistics for internal departments. Previous roles at the same organization also include Director of Training & Conference Operations, where Dawn co-led the establishment of a Learning & Training department aimed at providing education for mental health and oncology professionals. Earlier experience includes the role of Conferences & Events Coordinator at The Humane Society of the United States, managing logistics for major conferences, and serving as a Major Gifts Associate. Dawn's expertise in event management and coordination is complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Writing from Ithaca College, further enriched by education from The George Washington University and the University of Limerick.
