Nikita Kopotun

Founder, AEF & Board Member, Cansbridge at The Cansbridge Fellowship

Nikita Kopotun has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as Co-Founder & President of Juniper in 2016. During their time at Juniper, they successfully bootstrapped the company to achieve $100M+ in revenue, secured multiple high-value deals, and scaled the team to over 50 individuals.

In 2021, Nikita founded the AEF (Charitable Endowment Fund) as part of their role at Cansbridge Fellowship, where they have been a Fellow since 2015. Through the AEF, they raised $250k through donations, sponsored 16 students, and deployed $50k into FP & NFP companies. They currently manage a team of 5 as their aim is to create a strong network of young entrepreneurial professionals in Canada.

During their undergraduate years, Nikita co-founded Connectivate, a platform marketplace connecting students with local businesses. This experience provided them with countless lessons and skills.

Prior to their entrepreneurship ventures, Nikita worked as an Engineering Consultant at Cisco in Shanghai, China. They had a summer internship in Cisco's R&D department and was the only foreigner in an office with thousands of Chinese employees.

In addition to their professional experiences, Nikita also had roles as an Advanced Contemporary Dance Teacher at Queen's Dance Club, a Dark Matter Research Assistant at SNOLAB, and a Microwave Imaging Research Assistant at the University of Manitoba.

Nikita Kopotun completed their high school education at The University of Winnipeg from 2008 to 2012. Following that, Nikita earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics with an Electrical Engineering Option from Queen's University between 2012 and 2016.
