Shaylona Wheeler M.ed.

Shaylona Wheeler, M.Ed., currently serves as a Teacher at The Carey School since August 2017 and has been a Member of the Board of Trustees for the San Mateo Public Library from January 2022 to April 2024. With a diverse career in educational settings, Shaylona has held roles such as Graduate Research Assistant at Santa Clara University and Program Specialist, as well as Recreation Specialist 3 for the City of San Mateo. Additional experience includes working as a Retention Specialist for Cañada College's A2B Program and serving as a SEL Program Facilitator for Youth Community Services. Shaylona's educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Social Justice Leadership and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, both from Santa Clara University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from San Francisco State University and an A.A. from Cañada College.
