Eric Hansen

Materials Research Chemist Engineer at The Carlstar Group

Eric Hansen started their work experience as a Chemistry Lab Technician at Vibracoustic in May 2012. In this role, they conducted material testing, performed individual experiments involving crumb rubber, and weighed and mixed rubber compounds. Eric then worked as an R&D Analytical Rubber Engineer at Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. from May to August 2013, where they constructed recipes for custom mixing, formulated various elastomer compounds, and extensively used the Rubber Process Analyzer. From May 2014 to August 2021, Eric held the position of Rubber Compounding Engineer at Hoosier Racing Tire Corp., where they developed and managed compounds for different types of tires and was involved in rubber mixing and calendering. Since August 2021, Eric has been working as a Materials Research Chemist Engineer at The Carlstar Group.

Eric Hansen attended Greenville High School from 2007 to 2010. After graduating from high school, they enrolled in Montcalm Community College in 2009 and completed coursework in Calculus 1 & 2. Subsequently, Eric joined Ferris State University in 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Rubber Engineering Technology until 2014. During their time at Ferris State University, they also obtained an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Plastics & Polymer Engineering Technology, which they completed in 2013.
