Nishil Mehta

Nishil Mehta currently serves as the Managing Director and Head of Structured Credit at The Carlyle Group since May 2022. Prior to this role, Nishil held the position of Managing Director and Structured Credit Co-Portfolio Manager at First Eagle Alternative Credit from May 2021 to April 2022. From May 2010 to November 2020, Nishil was the Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets & CLO Portfolio Manager at Prospect Capital Management, leading capital raising efforts that totaled over $5 billion for SEC-registered funds. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Vice President at CIT Asset Management, where Nishil managed a $4 billion portfolio of leveraged loans, and as Vice President at Wachovia Securities, where significant capital was raised and CLO portfolios were developed. Nishil began the career as an Analyst at Wachovia, contributing to the CoLTS platform for middle market leveraged loans. Nishil holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, obtained in 2003.
