Sierra Ballard

Sierra Ballard is an experienced professional in conflict resolution and international relations, currently serving as the Interim Associate Director for the Conflict Resolution Program at The Carter Center, where leadership includes strategic planning and program operations supporting peacebuilding efforts in Sudan. Previous roles include Senior Program Associate and Sudan Program Contractor at The Carter Center, as well as research positions at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and GLOBSEC. Ballard's work has focused on humanitarian access, policy research, gender equity, and youth engagement in conflict resolution. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University College The Hague and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Iowa State University.
