Ben Istvan

Ben Istvan currently serves as the Sports Editor for The Cavalier Daily, having been elected to the position after previous roles as a beat writer and senior associate. With experience in content creation for a substantial TikTok following, Ben has also been a Sports Reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer, authoring numerous articles that gained significant readership. In addition to journalism, Ben’s background includes research assistance in social psychology at the University of Virginia, coaching youth sports, and contributing to statistical research for Sports Reference, LLC. Ben is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Virginia, building on a strong foundation from Germantown Friends School.
