CCSN: The Center for Children with Special Needs
Shaunessy Egan serves as Program Director at CCSN: The Center for Children with Special Needs since August 2019 and has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Saint Joseph since September 2019. Prior to these roles, Shaunessy coordinated programs at the Center for Children with Special Needs from July 2011 to August 2019 and held the position of Lead Instructor at The Carbone Clinic FZ LLC from July 2008 to August 2010. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Psychology from American International College, a Master of Science in Behavioral Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons University, and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Teaching from Bridgewater State University.

The Center for Children with Special Needs (CCSN) is the largest private outpatient assessment and treatment facility specifically for Autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders in Connecticut. Originating at Newington Children’s Hospital in 1990 and formally established in 1994, The Center for Children with Special Needs is an interdisciplinary center specializing in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with complex developmental disabilities including Autism, Asperger Syndrome, and related Pervasive Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
