Rebecca Mitchell

Rebecca Mitchell is an experienced professional in the field of child and family counseling, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Regional Coordinator for East Kootenay Inclusive Child Care Support at Community Connections Society of Southeast BC since September 2021, Rebecca has previously held roles such as Mental Health Clinician at The Centre for Child Development of the Lower Mainland and Early Childhood Development Regional Advisor at Langley Association for Community Living. Additional experience includes founding Painted Lighthouse Counselling & Consulting Inc., where Rebecca worked as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and various positions in mental health and early childhood development with organizations such as the Ministry for Children and Family Development and Peace Portal Counselling Center. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Guelph, a Certificate in Infant Mental Health from York University, and an Honours Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo.
