Veena Ali-Khan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and analysis focused on the Middle East, particularly Yemen. Currently serving as a Fellow at The Century Foundation since July 2024, Ali-Khan previously held the position of Yemen Researcher at the International Crisis Group from September 2021 to September 2023. Additional roles include Freelance Yemen Contributor at The Economist Intelligence Unit, Yemen Political Economy Analyst at Mercy Corps, and Research Associate for the Yemen Conflict Sensitivity Platform at Search for Common Ground. Ali-Khan has also contributed as a reporter for The Daily Star and served as an Iran Analyst at GlobalWonks. Educational credentials encompass a Master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies, Arabic and Global Journalism from New York University, as well as a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from The University of Manchester.
